I decided to play this, mainly because it is my favourite GC song, but also as a tribute to everything that's happened over the past few months with Project S*, Digital Haunt, and especially as a tribute to Sparkles* and to a band that were not afraid to push the boundaries with their music style and still spark the curiosities of people years after their split. This vid is to thank all of the #sparklesradiofamily for months of fun and I've made some great friends in you guys.
I tabbed the song, and if enough people want me to I'll upload it somewhere so you can share the GC love too! (I only have it on paper right now...)
In Ancient Greece, men in court would not use lawyers; defendants were required to make their own speeches, which would have been written by a speechwriter beforehand and memorised by the defendant and recited verbatim. A common trick employed in this practice was for the defendant to apologise for his lack of speechwriting and public speaking skills (despite not being the one who had written his speech) in an attempt to gain favour with his audience.
With this in mind, I would like to apologise for the somewhat bad audio quality; I have no proper audio recording equipment and this was recorded through nothing more than a simple wire from my guitar to my laptop mic port. How embarrassing. The quality of the audio is in no way down to the lack of my guitar-playing ability whatsoever. I swear.

I'll take a knife tonight to the scissor fight Verse structure: strophe, anti-strophe, epode, stanza I get so tired of these footnotes Life is so simple inside a womb Trying and trying to breathe in that vacuum I get so tired of these footnotes I get so tired of your embrace
I won't be silenced by some blood I'm tearing this down, pulling this out Vocal chords can't help but wonder
I hear it's calling me To break this hibernation To break this hibernation That's killing me
I hear it's calling me To break this hibernation Killing me
I'll take a knife to see I'm alive The flesh on steel makes me feel so righteous The conclave is desecrated, the temple lies in ruins. Blasphemy, trying to be, someone you're not So is that who you are?
Cause I get so tired of these footnotes I am Banquo, I am Julius Caesar
I hear this calling me, To break this hibernation, To break this hibernation. That's killing me.
I hear this calling me, To break this hibernation. That's killing me.
Do you wanna feel? Do you wanna feel? Like I do?
Well I tried to be what you wanted from me, I will never be your scissorborn.
